John N. Cannavo

John N. Cannavo, a partner of the firm, graduated Boston College High School in 1986, Boston College in 1990 and Northeastern University School of Law in 1993. Mr. Cannavo is an experienced trial attorney, having represented clients in all state and federal courts in Massachusetts.  Mr. Cannavo began his career with Sims & Sims, P.C. in 1993 and became a partner with Sims & Sims, LLP in 2000.

While maintaining an active trial practice, Mr. Cannavo concentrates his practice in the areas of Family Law, Civil Litigation, all aspects of  residential and commercial real estate, business law and probate and estate work.  In addition to representing individual clients with varied legal issues, Mr. Cannavo also represents many corporations, businesses, landlords,  banks and lending institutions.  He is also a Certified Conciliator with the Plymouth County Probate & Family Court.

Mr. Cannavo, a Middleboro resident is actively involved in charitable, civic and professional organizations both in Middleboro and Brockton.  He is currently a  member of the Plymouth County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Massachusetts Bar Association. He has served as the Vice President of Middleboro Little League for ten years, and coaches youth baseball & basketball at many age levels. Additionally for over twenty years, Mr. Cannavo has served as a court conciliator and an active participant in the Plymouth County Lawyer of the Day program.
