John N. Cannavo

John N. Cannavo, a partner of the firm, graduated Boston College High  School in 1986, Boston College in 1990 and Northeastern University  School of Law in 1993. Mr. Cannavo is an experienced trial attorney,  having represented clients in all state and federal courts in  Massachusetts.  Mr. Cannavo began his career with Sims & Sims, P.C.  in 1993 and became a partner with Sims & Sims, LLP in 2000.

While maintaining an active trial practice, Mr. Cannavo concentrates  his practice in the areas of Family Law, Civil Litigation, all aspects  of  residential and commercial real estate, business law and probate and  estate work.  In addition to representing individual clients with  varied legal issues, Mr. Cannavo also represents many corporations,  businesses, landlords,  banks and lending institutions.  He is also a  Certified Conciliator with the Plymouth County Probate & Family Court. Mr. Cannavo, a former Middleboro resident is actively involved in  charitable, civic and professional organizations both in Middleboro and  Brockton.  He is currently the President  of the Plymouth County Bar  Association, the oldest Bar Association in the Country and a member of the Massachusetts Bar  Association. He has served as the past President of Middleboro Little League and coached for twenty years in youth baseball & basketball at  many age levels. Additionally for over thirty years, Mr. Cannavo has  served as a court conciliator and an active participant in the Plymouth  County Lawyer of the Day program.
